Because everybody loves a Westie puppy

First off, a BIG sloppy one to everyone who has purchased stuff from my Amazon Store lately.  I don’t get information from Amazon on who bought what, but they do tell me the “what” part.  A big thanks, and soon enough I’ll be able to send all that money right back to them for a new Kindle.  Not that I need it or anything. 

In case you missed Frank Rich’s take on John Hagee (who called the Catholic Church the “great whore"), here it is.  If ever we needed a divorce from religion and politics, there’s no better argument.  The Rev. Wright makes a pretty compelling case as well.  Speaking of which, he’s been suspiciously quiet these days.  Maybe he reads this blog and came to the realization that he’s doing more harm than good? 

Well, it’s official.  5 out of 5 leading economists agree that Hillary and McCain’s gas tax holiday is a pretty suck-ass idea.  Aside from the administrative nightmare of stopping and restarting a tax (you think our government can do that efficiently?), the revenue from that tax is supposed to go to road repair.  Apparently, our wonderful governments can’t even do that as evidenced by this gigantic hole which opened in a bridge near downtown Dallas this morning, causing traffic to back up to the fucking Arkansas border.  Quick, somebody pour some money concrete in that hole so we can get the hell out of this hellhole!

Speaking of sucking ass, how scary is it that Hills is sounding just like Bush? From her “obliterate Iran” comment to “it’s my way or the highway” attitude on the gas tax, the only thought which comes to my feeble mind is that she truly believes such pandering is just what’s needed in Indiana and North Carolina.  Personally, I think we’ve moved way beyond such nonsense - not that I’m bitter or anything. 

Finally, having just watched “Meet the Robinsons” on Blu-Ray, take a gander and a listen to Rob Thomas doing “Little Wonders” (included on the disc), since he’s just so damn fun to look at drool over.
