While the talking heads are pondering which half (or is it five halves?) of Hillary Clinton will show up for tonight’s debate, there are plenty of other things which will have you scratching your head.  To wit: 

• Senator - and I use the term loosely - Joe Lieberman has absolved McCain of any and all wrongdoing when it comes to that woman.  Mind you, he’s talking about the sex, not the lobbying favors.  (via)

• How much ink will be spilled and bits flown about in cyberland over the “whose American flag lapel pin is bigger debate?” Apparently, lots.  I say, forget the pins and just start carrying around an American flag.  Hey, it works for some Bush appointees. 

• It’s just another day in Republican Land, as an Alabama television station mysteriously lost its CBS feed during the broadcast of a story which has Karl Rove’s DNA all over it. 

• While you’re deep in that muck, try this one on for size:  the US has probably been shipping suspected terror suspects through a base in Romania.  And you thought we didn’t have many allies in the war on terror.
