Digby thinks Bush looks like shit lately. I have to agree that he’s looking a little ragged, especially after seeing him the other day when he was at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio visiting wounded troops.  Not only does he look like shit, he sounds even goofier when trying to explain his rationale for eavesdropping on you without a court order.  I know being the president is hard and all, but this guy isn’t handling it too well on any level, ya think?

How fucked up is Iraq?  Glad you asked.  It seems that we’ve done about all the reconstructing there is to do, so that pesky problem is solved.  And, more good news:  the violence is calming down after the elections.  But, on a wee somber note, looks like gasoline prices are on the rise there and the oil minister quit in protest.  That pretty much shows you how fucked up things are at this moment.  Tomorrow, I’m sure things will be better. 

Holy Mother of Presidential Spokespieces!  Down here in Texas, Carole Keeton McClellan Rylander Strayhorn (yes, she is the mother of Scottie), is going through political parties faster than she can blow through husbands.  She’s now decided to give the finger to the GOP and try her luck as an independent for governor.  I swear she was a Democrat back when she was mayor of Austin, wasn’t she?  Had to be. 

Oh, HELL no!  I ain’t falling for that again.
